You have heard stories of people who acted as if they were courageous in the face of terrible circumstances and their courage paid off. Well, you can pretend in any situation you like and the good news is that reality, may never know the difference.

Act as if you are something and sometimes you might actually be that something.

When you put pencil to paper, or paint to canvas or thread to material, do it with authority. Pretend that you really do know what you are doing. Actually, when you think about it, you really do know! You already know that you want to create, experiment and have fun.

And for the really advanced: you really don’t give a damn about what happens and you don’t care what anyone else thinks. Get into this state of mind and you are ready for super hero status.

These attitudes will give you the authority to step out and to be creative. Act as if you have the authority to be there and circumstances might respond accordingly.

We’ve all met cold, clear-speaking cops who leave you feeling that they not only slapped you in the face with a ticket but also managed to arouse your deepest feelings of guilt. Imagine if a cop pulled you over and he mumbled and hesitated and then apologized as he passed you a ticket… not the same.

Act as if you are the authority, act as if you already have what you desire. Be the authority you want to become.

Consider me the author, I’m writing this as if I know… maybe it’s all bluff!
